Fresha - Positive contributions to our Environment

At Fresha we are dedicated to continuously acting in new ways that positively effect our environment. As with our 'Socially Responsible' behaviour, being environmentally friendly is at the core of our business.

Did you know that each year over 1 billion plastic sandwich packs end up in landfill sites across the UK? That's 1 billion plastic packs that will never degrade. The Fresha sandwich pack is different - its unique combination of materials not only keeps the contents fresh, which is really great for the sandwich, but is also completely biodegradable, which is fantastic for the environment we all share and live in.

After a typical working day we are left with vast amounts of card and boxes, which are either returned to sender for re-using or taken over the road to our local recycling centre. For all other waste materials we carry a duty of care 'controlled waste transfer' certificate, which means our waste is disposed of responsibly

These are just some examples of how Fresha seeks to reduce waste and energy. We constantly look at all areas including energy and water consumption and how many miles our food has travelled before reaching our kitchen, all of these have major impacts on our environment.
